What's needed to Enroll as an Organization Apple Account

If you’re enrolling your organization, you’ll need an Apple ID with two-factor authentication turned on, as well as the following to get started:

  • A D-U-N-S® Number
    • Your organization must have a D-U-N-S Number so that we can verify your organization’s identity and legal entity status. These unique nine-digit numbers are assigned by Dun & Bradstreet and are widely used as standard business identifiers. You can check to see if your organization already has a D-U-N-S Number and request one if necessary. They are free in most jurisdictions.

If you would like to look up your D-U-N-S Number, Click Here

3. Fill out Organization Information

The necessary information to enroll as an Organization mentioned in 'Preparing for Apple Developer Enrollment - What's needed to Enroll as an Organization Apple Account' will be implemented in this step

4. Re Validate your Legal Entity Information

In the next step, you will again enter your

  • Legal Entity Name
  • D-U-N-S Number

During enrollment I received the message, "Your organization is not listed as a legal entity." What does this mean?

The business you entered is either listed in the D&B database with a different legal status (such as a sole proprietorship), or its legal status has not been verified.

When enrolling, make sure to use the legal entity name of your organization, as Apple does not accept DBAs, fictitious businesses, trade names, or branches for enrollment as a company/organization.

If your legal status is a sole proprietorship/single person business, enroll as an individual. If you believe your business should be listed as a legal entity, have your business registration documents ready and email D&B. Complete business registration documents are required to verify your organization’s legal status.

5. Validate Account Summary

Make sure to validate all the information you have entered, especially making sure that you are enrolled as an Organization. Once validated, click 'Submit'

6. Complete your Purchase

The Apple Developer Account costs $99 per year. Click 'Purchase' to proceed to payment information. From there, you will fill out the necessary billing information to complete the purchase.

GTR recommends you select 'Automatic Renewal'. The reason is 12 months into your membership, you will have to renew the membership or your App will be taken off the Apple App Store. Automatically renewing your annual membership ensures that your apps remain available and you maintain access to membership benefits.

Tip: If Automatic Renewal is not used, please set a reminder on your calendar (repeat yearly) to renew your membership every year. Your app will be removed from the App Store within 24 hours upon the expiration of your membership.

Congratulations! You are now enrolled as an Apple Developer Organization Account. For the next step, you will need to Add GTR as an Admin.
