Welcome to GTR's Glossary of Terms. Knowing these terms will help you understand GTR's terminology and process' that take place.

Term Definition
Advocate Anyone who creates an account by downloading app or via web app is considered an advocate. By definition, a person who speaks well of your company, products, services and can send a referral.
Referral When an Advocate submits a referred party's contact information in order for your business to present your products/services with the intent to sell.
Products Products are services or products your company offers that could have a separate referral payout. For instance, if there is a solar company that has a referral for Solar Installation, but also a referral for Batteries; the payout would be different.
Advocator App / ReferUs Now GTR's Base Product. An all-in-one Customer Experience mobile app that Advocates download from the App Store. Internally, it contains your branding, and is the tool for which Advocates send, track, and receive rewards for referrals, plus much more. Users need to enter a Company Code to access this app.
Custom Branded An all-in-one mobile app that is Custom Branded internally and externally (YOUR logo appears in the App Store). Advocates would download YOUR App from the App Store, rather than the GTR Advocator. No Company Code needed, they just click on your App Icon.
Referral Champion The person at your company who is responsible for the success of the platform. This person has close contact with a GTR Account Manager and will provide necessary documentation and communication to help get the app live, coordinate Admin and Sales Rep training, and promote constant engagement with the tool.
Sales Reps A rep who promotes the App and signs people up for the App that are associated with the company and has access the the Dashboard to manage and track their own referrals.
Sales Manager Dashboard only function, and Sales Reps. are assigned to a manager, so that manager can review their reps
-Advocates
-Referrals So for instance, an East Coast Manager would be assigned his east coast sales team, while a West Coast Manager would be assigned his west coast sales team.
It's to allow a role to manage the performance of the reps. What happens is in most cases, Managers also sell which means we register them in the GTR Dashboard as Sales Reps., regardless of Title
Company Admin The person(s) at your company who will be managing the data in the platform. Often referred to as the Master Admin, a role that is created by the GTR Account Manager when creating the customer account. Has the most dashboard permissions, can add and control all permissions of the users. Also get all of the notifications pertaining to new advocates, referrals, lead status changes, emails etc.
Sales Seats Sales seats are provisioned depending on your package size, and play an important role in giving a Sales Rep. credit for speaking about your application. (Once a Sales rep is no longer with a company, the leads stay with the company and do not follow the sales rep). You can add to these specific purchased credentials (Sales Seats) as your business grows by updating your package with GTR.
Advocate Sales Rep Using your provisioned Sales seats, this is the title you are assigning your Sales Representative as your create their credential within the GTR Dashboard.This allows for the Sales Rep. to log into the application, as well as submit leads using the application to capture their own referrals.
Project Stages Project Stages are meant to deliver push notifications and emails to a current customer as their project reaches new milestones. This feature engages users to interact more with the App.
Term Definition
Wallet A wallet is assigned to both a company, as well as each and every registered advocates by our payment vendor, XTRM. This is where a company manages payments to advocates, and where advocates receive their funds.
XTRM GTR's third-party payment partner. Companies set up an account with XTRM in order to reward their Advocates through the app.
NCF (New Customer Form) New Customer Form. Submitted when the contract is signed, it contains important information for your Account Manager to build your app and set up your Dashboard.
Domain Name Domain names are important because the Internet's addressing scheme is not very effective without them. A short, memorable domain name can make the difference between creating a successful Web presence and getting lost in cyberspace. A domain name adds credibility to your small business.
Advanced Services Form The XTRM Application Form. In order to use your company Wallet, (to upload funds and pay out Advocates), you must be approved by XTRM.
ACH Automated Clearing House (ACH) is an electronic network for financial transactions in the United States. ACH processes large volumes of credit and debit transactions in batches. ACH credit transfers include direct deposit, payroll and vendor payments. The only way to set up the Wakket is through ACH Fund. Transfers from ACH to your wallet can take up to 7 business days.
1099-K A 1099-K is considered a digital payment / electronic transfer . With a digital payment your company does not have to collect w-9's from advocates. The IRS requires each payment settlement entity to send you a Form 1099-K by January 31 if it has processed at least $20,000 worth of payments and at least 200 transactions for you in the previous year. But you still could receive 1099-Ks from some PSEs even when the form isn't required by the IRS. Advocator Pay The term used for a tab on the Admin Dashboard that stores the balance you have, the balance owed to advocates, and a payment history log
Term Definition
CRM A Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system helps manage customer data. It supports sales management, delivers actionable insights, integrates with social media and facilitates team communication. Cloud-based CRM systems offer complete mobility and access to an ecosystem of bespoke apps. GTR can integrate with most CRMs.
Field Mapping the process of determining what data you want to move into a particular field
Authentication Token numeric string to authenticate credentials. It is used to integrate your CRM account with third-party software and services
Integrations A CRM integration is the seamless connectivity between your customer relationship management (CRM) software and GTR's applications. Integrations result in automated actions that expand the functionality of your software, eliminating the need to toggle back and forth between systems.
Lead Push The Zapier piece of the integration is the initial lead push into the customers CRM, the webhook aspect is the communication from the CRM back to GTR, which results in a push notification going out to the advocate letting them know that the referral they submitted has moved from one stage to the next. Project Management only involves the webhook because it is strictly the communication from the CRM to GTR as they move the project through the project stages in their CRM.
Webhooks/API Lead Status Integration zapier is an online automation tool that connects your favorite apps, such as Gmail, Slack, Mailchimp, and more. You can connect two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding or relying on developers to build the integration.
Zapier/API Lead Push When an advocate sends in a referral, this information populates our dashboard, and in turn, via Zapier, this information is also pushed to your CRM as a New Project/Lead/Appointment/etc.
Webhooks/API Project Management Integration Our dashboard offers 9 total stages to match your project process, found within Settings --> Project Management Stage. We will need to know what your project stages are/will be, as that data is specifically routed from your CRM, and into our Dashboard to trickle into the customer who is within said active project.
Zapier Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your favorite apps, such as Gmail, Slack, Mailchimp, and more. You can connect two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding or relying on developers to build the integration.
Webhooks Webhooks typically are used to connect two different applications. When an event happens on the trigger application, it serializes data about that event and sends it to a webhook URL from the action application—the one you want to do something based on the data from the first application.
Apple Developer Individual Account If you are an individual or sole proprietor/single person business, get started by signing in with your Apple ID with two-factor authentication turned on. You’ll need to provide basic personal information, including your legal name and address.
Apple Developer Organizational Account Membership includes access to beta OS releases, advanced app capabilities, and tools needed to develop, test, and distribute apps and Safari Extensions. If you purchase a Custom Branded App, you will need an Apple Developer Account. You will need a D-U-N-S Number, Legal Entity Status, Legal Binding Authority, and a Website to enroll as an Organizational Account.
D-U-N-S Number The Data Universal Numbering System, abbreviated as DUNS or D-U-N-S, is a proprietary system developed and managed by Dun & Bradstreet that assigns a unique numeric identifier, referred to as a "DUNS number" to a single business entity. Your organization must have a D-U-N-S Number so that we can verify your organization’s identity and legal entity status. You can check to see if your organization already has a D-U-N-S Number and request one if necessary. They are free in most jurisdictions. If you purchase a custom Branded GTR App, you will need a DUNs number to get an Apple Developer Account.

GTR Dashboard The brain behind the beauty of the App, the Dashboard is where a Company Admin, Sales Manager or other roles track, manage, and pay out their Advocates.
Advocator Wallet Think of the Advocator Wallet in the same way a physical wallet with cash works.

-To pay for something, you need that cash in your wallet first before you pay someone.
-In order to get the cash, you need to go somewhere to get the cash into your wallet… this is where XTRM comes into play.
-To transfer money from your bank account, credit, or debit card, XTRM is the intermediary in order to allow that process to happen.

To clarify, there are multiple ways to pay out rewards to Advocates.

Messaging Messaging, as of today, refers to the 'Chat' feature. You can also attach images to messages. Customers will sometimes send images of a completed job to customers.
SMS SMS (text messaging) contains only text (no pictures or videos) and is limited to 160 characters. The only SMS feature we have is a welcome text message, sent at time of advocate registration.
Push Notifications A push notification is a message that pops up on a mobile device. Push notifications have the highest read rate out of any marketing channel. These notifications will drop right onto the users screen, and if clicked, then takes the user into the app.
Email Marketing Pre-loaded, editable templates are available for our Customers under this tab in the Dashboard.
Leave Behinds Customizable marketing materials meant to be left behind to help further enable sales people to sign up / promote app
Referral WebPage Referral webpage is a templated webpage that can be embedded or linked to by a partner company. The purpose of a referral webpage is to

Promote having a referral program
Show what the rewards are
Provide opportunity for sign up - in our case that’s app links and link to web version of the app

Register Advocate Form A customizable web form for Advocates to sign up that is customizable by the company. This is sent from SalesReps/ Admins to the potential Advocate. This can be configured under Share Link Design in the GTR Dashboard
Register Lead Form A customizable web form for Advocates to sign up that is customizable by the company. This is sent from current Advocates to the potential Advocate. This can be configured under Share Link Design in the GTR Dashboard
WebApp GTR provides the means & availability to access the referral platform and application on a desktop or browser.
Tiered Referral Tiered Referrals are rewards set by the company admin after an Advocate sends in a certain amount of referrals. This reward is a bonus amount, and the amount it takes to trigger that reward and the reward amount is configured by the Company when editing or creating a new referral product.
Documents Documents are sharable files a Company can share with its Advocates such as PDFs or JPG Images. This includes sharing a link to a website.
QR Code QR Codes are an easy way for potential customers to quickly and conveniently view marketing material, which is why there is a QR Code generator that can be customized to help portray what your organization is, & get more referrals!

Term Definition
Unverified Referrals Often interpreted as a New Lead or starting stage of the referral; the referral has been submitted but not reviewed by an employee
Working Referrals Referrals that aren't gone, but hasn't come to fruition. If a potential lead says they are looking for installation next year, this would be a great place to leave the referral.
Verified Referrals Often interpreted as Appointment Completed or Contract Signed, the referral is not sold, but potentially for an appointment set. When this happens, Advocates are typically rewarded for the lead with a small bonus.
Sold Referrals Often interpreted as an Installed Referral.Once the process is finalized, such as a solar panel being installedOft
Closed Referrals Referral is lost, as the lead is incorrect information, unable to contact or is not interested
