How to Configure Your Email Sender & DNS Records
Get The Referral (GTR) allows your company to send transactional and marketing emails using your own domain (e.g., info@yourcompany.com) for improved branding and deliverability.
Admins can go to Settings > Sender Configuration to choose how emails are sent.
You can select one of the two sending methods:
- Standard (DNS-Verified)
- GTR sends emails on your behalf
- Your domain is authenticated through DNS (SPF + DKIM)
- Custom SMTP
- You provide your own SMTP server settings
- Used by clients with strict IT/security requirements
Only one option can be active at a time. This will guide you through completing the setup for the selected method.
Until your domain is verified, all emails will be sent from: donotreply@getthereferral.com
