Changing Automated System Email Name
- Automated system emails come from donotreply@getthereferral.com and can be changed to an email of choice if the partner company is using Gmail or Outlook
- Changing the system email helps with email recognition, preventing our emails from being filtered by spam, and allows recipients to respond to the email content
- An email can be changed by getting in touch with your Customer Success Manager or GTR Support
Providing Email Credentials to GTR
For Gmail Users: Please note this email must have 2-factor authentication turned on
- Enable 2-Step Verification for your Gmail Account HERE: https://myaccount.google.com/signinoptions/two-step-verification/enroll-welcome
- Create An App Password for system use HERE: https://security.google.com/settings/security/apppasswords
- Select 'Others (custom name)', title it 'GTR' and click generate
- Provide generated app password to GTR along with the associated email address and name you want for the sender (i.e. GTR Solar Solutions or John Doe)
For Outlook Users: Please note this email must be its own entity and not an alias
- Provide the associated email, password, and name you want for the sender (i.e. GTR Solar Solutions or John Doe)
